2) Activation of the C.R.
1. CR을 activation하기 위해서는 먼저 molar lock을 distal extension시켜서 buccal tube주위에 insertion하여야 한다.
2. 다음 How or Weingart plier와 같은 serrated plier를 사용하여 vertical post를 cuspid bracket의 vertical slot내에 insertion한다 (vertical post가 vertical slot내에 seating될 때 helical closing loopol activation된다.)
3. Old CR을 2~3mm activation 시킬 때 2~3 oz의 force가 발휘된다.
4. activation possible with the cuspid retractor
1) activation of the helical closing ollp
2) angulation of the vertical post
3) deflection of the lock loop incisally
4) placing the helical closing loop on the buccal side of the main archwire
5. 이때 main archwire는 bending 되지 않고 plain해야 한다.
