Buccal Tube

 

Edgewise 장치의 마지막 치아의 협면에 부착하는 attachment이다.
보통 원심측에는 ligature tie를 위한 open slot (tube가 base에서 떨어져 원심측으로 extension됨)를

가지고 있고 근심측에는 intramaxillary 혹은intermaxillary elastic을 위한 hook 이 부착된 것이 있다.

 

< tube의 종류 >

1. round tube, rectangular tube

2. single, double and triple buccal tube

3. combinations of the tubes : rect tube + round tube
                                           rect tube + rect tube
                                           rect tube + rect tube + round tube

4. with or without elastic hook

5. rectangular tube size : 0.018 x 0.025", 0.022 x 0.028"

6. round tube size : generally 0.045" or 0.051" for face bows
