At this period, a young child rapidly grows as many as double or triple times in height and weight compared with itself during the infant period and commands surprisingly highly advanced words in communication.

The child becomes very playful, too and it will put on weight continuously.

In contrast, the two craniums surrounding the brain have already grown to the size of an adult by this time.

The neural circuit works actively.

Have you ever heard that the more you chew, the clearer your brain becomes and consequently the better you can concentrate on things ?

For chewing, not only the muscles near the mouth but in total 30 kinds of muscles including both sides of the head and the neck etc. are cooperating to move the jaw, which is a powerful strength.

This mechanism of the contraction of muscles works like a pump as it pushes the blood sent from the heart to the brain. This implies that lack of chewing can be the cause of the shrinking brain.    (Refer to the Home Medical Clinic)
